GRILLED ROMAINE CHOPPED SALAD - perfect for 2 people! This is such an easy appetizer salad and is so so delicious. The grilled romaine adds some flavor to what is otherwise a basic ass leaf haha. We made a homemade ranch dressing but feel free to buy your favorite store bought ranch or blue cheese. We also grabbed the parmesan crisps from the store but if you can’t find these, croutons and parmesan cheese will be a perfect option.

What you need

tbsp olive oil

tsp black pepper

fl oz water

bunch fresh chives

bunch cherry tomato

tbsp dijon mustard

tsp red pepper flake

tbsp dill

slice bacon
pinch salt

parmesan cheese

romaine hearts
tbsp fresh parsley

cup plain greek yogurt

lemon

clove garlic clove
Instructions
Get all of your toppings ready. Cook your bacon to your liking (I prefer in the oven), slice your tomatoes, chop your chives, crush your croutons or parm crisps, and chop your bacon once done. Set aside. Make your dressing and set in the fridge. Get your grill nice and hot (these romaine hearts will not be on for long and you just want to get some grill marks on them). Slice your hearts in half the long way. You may need to stick some toothpicks in here to keep the hearts together but they should be okay. REMEMBER TO TAKE THE TOOTHPICKS OUT BEFORE EATING. brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put face down on a HOT grill (I repeat, a HOT grill). For 1-2 minutes, basting the back side while face down. check for grill marks, and flip and grill back side for 1-2 minutes. Remove from grill and let cool. Top with all of your toppings and drizzle with dressing! Enjoy!View original recipe
