Pizza Rollups

It’s as if pizza, a pinwheel or cinnamon roll, and a pizza burst had a little love child. These pizza rollups are perfect for those who show up on Sundays for the FOOD during football season, because creating snacky recipes is my specialty. FOOD > FOOTBALL!

What you need

cup shredded mozzarella

tbsp pesto

cup pepperoni

fl oz Hot Honey

parmesan cheese

tbsp fresh basil

pizza dough
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Sprinkle a little flour on your surface, and roll out your dough sheet and take a rolling pin to flatten it out into a rectangular shape. Spread a thin layer of pesto throughout, and then pizza sauce on top. Top with your chopped pepperonis and freshly grated mozzarella. Roll it up gently and slice (about 1-inch thick) rolls and place into a greased cast iron skillet or baking dish. Top with a little bit more mozzarella cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes (you want them golden brown). Remove from oven and top with freshly grated parmesan, hot honey drizzle and fresh basil.
